Google:

First Ever Vertical Street View

Sandy created and led team to capture the first ever vertical Street View: legendary climbers 3,000 feet up Yosemite’s most iconic rock face. The project garnered tens of millions of product views, 13.2M video views, and 110+ articles internationally.

The Task.

In anticipation of the National Parks Centennial,  we challenged our engineers to create the first ever vertical Street View. People around the world can now join legendary climbers Lynn Hill, Tommy Caldwell, and Alex Honnold up the sheer vertical face of El Capitan -  all 3,000 feet - in Street View.

To support the launch, we created a fully immersive website, video, blogpost, and easily shareable stills and gifs for partners and influencers.

This approach encouraged higher engagement from followers - because they shared it with an audience that was already hungry for this style of content. Followers also walked away with the impression that Google and Street View are tapped in to their specific market - encouraging brand love.

The Results.
