How we think.

 

Since our founding, SRC has been an entirely remote agency that brings together a quirky family of best-in-class folks around the globe.

This purposeful approach came from seeing talented people burning out on an all-too-frequent basis in the traditional workplace. We set out to create an environment that enabled people to bring their best selves to their work, while making space for their other passions outside.

What does this look like? A beautiful symphony of people who come together in intentional, custom-built teams. Teams that create excellent work, don’t mind getting their hands dirty in the process, and make sure to stop for a drink or meal or joint Netflix binge (we’re currently obsessed with Lupin) along the way.

 
 

Some perks.

 

Starting with a remote workforce means having to be intentional with culture and benefits to create the SRC family. Some of our priorities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Flexible schedule — Hours are variable and can be adjusted to your schedule and supports other work/passion. If there are fixed hours or expectations for a certain project, we’ll tell you up front. 

  • Work from anywhere — We don’t care where you are, though you likely need to be able to attend meetings in the EST/PST time zones. However, we do sometimes have non-US based projects, and having a team member who is waking up when the rest of us are going to bed can work out well for everyone.

  • In-person gatherings - In non-COVID times, we bring the team together periodically to work, celebrate, and remind each other who’s behind the screen.

  • Dispersed celebrations — Virtual happy hours, lunches, holiday parties, discussions on volunteer work, book clubs, etc., are celebrated throughout the year. 

  • Paid time to volunteer — SRC provides paid hours to volunteer each year.

  • And paid time to vote — SRC provides paid hours to vote each year.

Chief of Contractors/Business Director
(contract, remote)

In this role, you’re excited to dive into both the day-to-day and big picture thinking of running an agency. You’re extremely organized and love keeping the team motivated, engaged, and feeling valued, while also ensuring we’re all on track to meet deadlines. You love geeking out on the numbers and budgets, and simultaneously thrive as a people person who can listen, understand, and solve for the needs of team members and clients. Being a leader is key as you manage a roster of people around the globe, and serve as the face of the agency to clients old and new. You're a thought partner as the agency decides what projects to take on, when to pass, and how to do what we do best. You also manage our culture, a key part of SRC, by keeping our traditions alive and creating new, smart ways to make an entirely remote team one big happy family.

 

Executive Assistant
(contract, remote)

You are the calm in the midst of what can sometimes be beautiful chaos. Spreadsheets, docs, bookmarks, and efficiently-worded emails bring you joy in a very particular way. You love being a part of everything happening in the agency so you can keep everyone organized and able to move forward. You understand how processes and systems help people feel calm and valued. Scheduling meetings for team members is key, and you never underestimate the value of a smart agenda to start a meeting and a follow-up to keep everyone track. You know what's happening with each project, and can quickly get a client or team member the doc they need when they need it. You keep us all organized and on track, working hand in hand with the Business Director, Program Managers, and Partners.

 

Project Manager/Account Director
(contractor, remote)

Each project at SRC needs a powerhouse Project Manager. You’re a core component of each team: managing a disparate group of people, creating the docs (and spreadsheets, did we mention spreadsheets ?) that make us feel organized and connected. You schedule meetings to keep everyone on track, and have a keen eye for when things are going well or when a red flag is on the horizon. You and the budget spend lots of time together -maybe you created it in the first place- and you can keep those numbers and our deadlines on track. You're the calm eye in the storm: managing multiple deadlines, clients, team members, priorities, and initiatives at once. This person is the superhero of spreadsheets and the champion of communication - in short, the guiding light for each project at SRC.

 

Development Strategist
(contractor, remote)

The Development Strategist is a lifeline to SRC, helping us grow in these crazy times. As new and old clients approach us with a project, you work with the Business Director to understand their needs, our roster and our strengths, and where they best overlap. You love diving in deep with the client, getting a feel for what they need, and figuring out how we can best create the team to solve a joint problem. You can create an inspirational, high-level pitch (alongside a designer) to really get the dreams going for everyone in the room through descriptive language, beautiful imagery, and knowing when less might be more. Simultaneously, you can dive into the details to create an initial scope and budget with the business manager to ensure we create a feasible proposal. And, this is just the start. We want to hear creative ideas for how to reach new clients, double down on projects we’ve loved, or take an entirely different approach if needed.
